Which hardware plug-ins do others like to use, what do they pay attention to when producing their music, how is their studio set up? When working with labels, producing remixes or at live events, one thing quickly became clear to our host Rüdiger Keller: everyone has their own style, not only musically, but also when it comes to creating. This led to the idea ... hey ... let‘s make a podcast out of it!
Talking to musicians eye-to-tye
The concept is simple: each show features a producer and three of his tracks, we talk about his approach to producing, tools and techniques and, most importantly: the fun of it. It doesn‘t matter how successful the guests are. What counts is what they have to say. We talk about technology, production methods, views and also one or another hot tips for the studio.
Guest on the current episode: Andestro
Andestro started his professional career relatively late at the age of 25 in the Glaspalast Dinslaken. After a few years with various DJ gigs in big and smaller clubs, he decided to start producing Electronic Dance Music with his colleague at the time, Tom-E.
The first joint project was called „Unique Beatz“ and is still the namesake of Andestro‘s studio. After a few years together in the studio, the project was stopped. Andestro took a break from music for several years and focused on other things. In 2016, the old studio was reorganized and again more rich basses resounded from Unique Beatz Studio - this time without a partner.
At the end of 2017 came the big surprise: Actually not intended as a demo, Andestro sent his first finished production from the new studio to an old friend. The latter passed the track on to a friendly label. The result: The track „Separate Identity“ was released and the project Andestro was born. Driven by this personal little highlight, various remixes and own productions from the Trance, EDM & Dance genres followed until today, mainly on Andestro‘s home label, Lakeshore Studio Records EDM.
In this episode, we talk to Andestro about his tracks, how he got into Trance, and production tricks. So get your coffee and tune in to YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/beatmagazin
