Monitor controller from Behringer for three monitor pairs

Behringer continues the concept of successfully cloning well-known products. The latest achievement is the Studio XL monitor controller, based on Mackie's Big Knob. The controller not only contains an audio interface that provides space for two inputs and four outputs via USB connection, but also a talkback microphone is on board. Preamplifiers from Midas were considered for the two XLR jack connections. The device also allows the rear connection of three pairs of speakers, as well as a 2-track output.

For quick listening to smartphones or external players, there is an aux input. The two headphone outputs each have separate volume controls. Studio XL is intended for high-resolution audio processing in home studios that allow a sample rate of 192 kHz and 24 bits. The central element is the large speaker control. There are matching buttons for mono operation and muting signals, as well as a dim function for lowering by 20 dB.

Price and availability

Behringer promises prompt delivery of Studio XL at a price of $249.
