Linear sound with small-diaphragm microphone from Austrian Audio

The frequency range extends between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. There is a high-pass filter at 60 Hz and 120 Hz to reduce unwanted low frequencies. An attenuation of up to -20 dB can be activated. The microphone's maximum sound pressure level is set at 156 dB SPL. Furthermore, a linear frequency response and a high dynamic range are promised. Another feature to be mentioned is the low self-noise of 16 dB(A). The CC8 is also said to be usable as a stereo pair.

Price and availability

The manually manufactured CC8 is to be sold from October at a price of 399 Euros. As a stereo pair, including a case and windscreen, along with a stereo bar, the price will be 799 Euros.
