Inspired by iconic hardware delay effects of the 80s, Solid State Logic (SSL) has released the new plug-in X-Delay in an appealing design. As a complement to the analogue X-Echo, X-Delay is said to feature innovative, modern sound combinations. The technology is based on four independently synchronisable taps.
These are supposed to invite slapback vocal delays, dark, dirty stereo soundscapes and voluminous synth pads. Creative ping-pong delays can be fabricated via the taps (which can also be tempo-synchronised if desired). The delay time and diffusion of the repetitions can also be controlled.
