Lewitt combines tube with FET in one microphone system

Published 11:27 am on Wednesday 16th February 2022 by Beat Magazine

The required timbre of the vocal signal can be determined via the four analogue tube characteristics Clear, Warm, Dark and Saturated. An E88CC6DJ8 tube from JJ Electronics was used for the warm tube sound. The microphone system can pick up a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Attenuation levels of -6dB, -12dB and -24 dB are offered. Its limiting sound pressure level is 137 dBSPL. A wide dynamic range of 127 dB can also be detected. The purchase price also includes a microphone spider, pop filter, microphone clip, carrying case and cable. Not to be forgotten are a remote control and a separate power supply.

Price and availability

Although not quite cheap, the Lewitt LCT 1040 should be on sale from mid-February for 3449 Euros.
