Sampler and sequencer for live streams from Sonicware

Initiated with the help of a crowdfunding campaign via the Kickstarter portal, Sonicware wants to produce the sampler and sequencer SmplTrek ready for series production. The audio- and MIDI-capable device, which also invites live streams, is well suited for mobile use thanks to its compact design.

There are two jack sockets each for inputs and outputs, as well as DIN connectors for MIDI. The sequencer, which can process up to 16 scenes with respective keys, is one of the core components.

Up to ten sequencer tracks and three audio tracks can be mixed in it. In terms of sampling, the recordings can be split into individual slices. The slices are then assigned to the 15 color-illuminated pads. Furthermore, editing via time-stretching, pitching and various effects is possible. The sounds can be imported via SD card or transferred to the computer via USB connection if desired.



Price and availability

SmplTrek is scheduled for delivery in September 2022. It can be ordered via Kickstarter for 262 Euros at the Early Bird price instead of the regular price of 348 Euros.
