Sonicware CyDrums

8-track drum synthesizer from Sonicware

CyDrums is the new rhythm machine from Sonicware, which uses the dual wavetable oscillator to create fat, assertive drums. The sound generator, whose design is somewhat reminiscent of a Gameboy, contains 40 sounds. You can choose from a total of 64 wavetables with 256 waveforms. The start and end points of the wavetables, as well as the speed, can be flexibly adjusted. If you don't want to fiddle around for long, you can choose from over 500 presets, which can be quickly sorted and categorized using tags.

The synth can be programmed on eight drum tracks with 128 steps each. The pattern sequences can be assembled into an arrangement or used for live performances. A wealth of master and insert effects are included. Connection options include two jack inputs and two jack outputs, as well as a MIDI input and output and a USB interface. There are also sync in/out sockets and there is even an internal loudspeaker. In addition to the power supply unit, the scope of delivery also includes an SD card.
