Steinberg Wavelab 12

Audio editor with 6 new plug-ins from Steinberg

The latest generation of the audio editor Wavelab 12 from Steinberg includes almost 80 new features. Thanks to ARA compatibility, Wavelab can be used directly from well-known DAWs. For better visual control, the waveform can now also be displayed in multiple colors and multi-channel files with up to 22.2 surround can be processed. You can also choose between eight speaker configurations.

To further optimize mastering or mixdown, the new plug-ins SampleAlign and Raiser (limiter), Black Valve (compressor), VoxComp (compressor) and the EQs EQ-P1A and EQ-M5 are now also available. The former CD Wizard, now called Album Wizard, has also been functionally expanded. A practical feature is the transfer of the normalizing of a level to other files. Other innovations include synchronized audio file and montage navigation, a revised startup wizard and much more. A full test of Wavelab 12 will follow shortly in the magazine.
