Stem remixing with Pioneer DJ

Pioneer DJ has introduced its new 2-channel DJ controller DDJ-REV5. The DJ controller has two jog wheels in the style of the CDJ series, as well as a 2-channel mixer. The robust Magvel crossfader also invites dynamic scratching. The tempo controls are arranged horizontally, as is usual with real turntables. Each of the decks has eight performance pads for samples, hot cues and loops. The DDJ-REV5 supports both Serato DJ Pro and Rekordbox as DJ software.

The Stems buttons can be used to create live mashups and remixes, allowing vocals and instruments to be extracted from each other. The Auto BPM Transition function allows mixing between music genres with very different tempos. Piano Play mode turns the pads into a keyboard so cue points can be started in different semitones. Inputs include a microphone and an aux path. In addition to three USB ports (one of which is used for power supply), there are two master outputs, two for headphones and one for the booth.
