Organic MIDI clips for the DAW Ableton Live 12

Ableton has released a major update to its DAW, Ableton Live 12, to inspire musicians' creativity with new generative MIDI tools, amazingly versatile sounds, surprising instruments and optimizations for more intuitive music making. Thanks to the new MIDI generators, you can create simple, complex and organic-sounding variations in your MIDI clips.

Ornaments and arpeggios or the reproduction of guitar strums are no longer a problem. The MIDI note editor has been expanded so that the order of notes can now be sorted by pitch, velocity or length. Meld is a new bi-timbral synthesizer that invites you to create layered textures, rhythmic drones, harmonic effects and atonal sounds. The newcomer Roar provides subtle and precise warmth at mastering level. Other new features include the Granulator III, which is now also MPE-capable, and new sound packs.



Price and availability:

Live 12 is due to be released at the beginning of 2024, but a beta will be published in advance. Live Intro will cost 79 euros, Live Standard 279 euros and the Live Suite 599 euros.
