BPB Dirty VHS

Free tape sound effect plug-in with BPB Dirty VHS

Tomislav Zlatic is certainly known to many from his online platform Bedroom Producers Blog. He has now lovingly expanded his "Dirty" plug-in series with the BPB Dirty VHS. The idea for the plug-in was born out of his love for re-sampling VHS tapes and the need to simplify the process. The aim is to recreate the sound characteristics and imperfections of VHS tapes and VCR recorders, such as pitch fluctuations, volume dropouts, noise and distortion.

Noise takes care of the noise, Tone Shaping models the sound of the VCR hardware and Pitch Modulation ensures uneven pitches. Tape Chorus simulates more width and volume in the sound.

A total of eight different VCR modes can be selected to create authentic sound, pitch and noise characteristics. In addition to a user-friendly interface, 20 included presets and an undo/redo function, random settings can also be generated.
