Ableton Live 12 - these are the DAW highlights from Yan Cook and Tom Cosm
Ableton recently released the new version of its professional DAW Ableton Live 12. In order to focus even more on creativity and to speed up the workflow, the new version of Ableton Live 12 has been enhanced. For example, you can add embellishments and articulations to MIDI transformations or draw acceleration and deceleration curves. Editing MIDI notes by cutting or selecting them is now also easier. You can also modulate more flexibly, especially in Max for Live applications. Freezing audio tracks is now also possible.

The 12-voice and MPE-capable synthesizer Meld is a new giant for textural and experimental sounds. Roar is a new effect module for distortion, and the Granulator is now MPE-capable and has been expanded. These tools have an incredibly high sound quality and immense potential for sound design.
Ableton Live 12 immediately invites you to work creatively: The modernized and tidy interface immediately catches the eye. The stacked detail views, which can be folded in and out as required, provide a better overview. The filter functions and browser tagging are a real time saver and the new MIDI editing tools make the workflow faster and programming even more musical. In short, Ableton Live 12 comes with all-round successful innovations, innovative features and improvements, far more than those listed here.

We asked various producers about their highlights of the new DAW, here are their statements:
"Ableton macht das Musikmachen viel einfacher. Jede neue Funktion, die beschleunigt den kreativen Prozess und eröffnet neue Wege der Musikproduktion. Musik zu machen. Wir würden nie zu einer anderen DAW-Software wechseln."
by Zach Montoya from Syence
"My favorite feature in Ableton is the Scale Mode, which allows people without a music theory background to easily develop chords and melodies. One new feature I‘d like to see is editable curves in the Macro Controller settings – it would allow you to be really creative and reduce the need to program Automation separately."
